Synopsis

Laure is a teenage french girl, sent to live with her biological mother in America, after her father disappears. She is lost and adrift in her new world, navigating high school and small town America, until she befriends Sydney, the school’s resident outsider and goth girl. Her friendship with Sydney, and introduction to the occult, begins to make her feel more at home. But soon, she begins to develop feelings for Sydney’s most hated foe, the town’s star, varsity jock, Mike. After a romantic encounter with Mike goes too far, she keeps her pain secret, but manipulates Sydney into casting a dark hex on him to exact her revenge. The film culminates as the kids of the town gather to watch Mike compete against a rival boy, and the perilous consequences of the girls’ black magic is brought to light.
